Where have you got your music from?
The
music and sound effects within our film opening were either gathered from
websites like YouTube or www.videoblocks.com. Videoblocks allowed us to gather the correct music or
sound effects we wanted and allowed us to download it without any legal issues
as the website states all sound clips are royalty free, meaning it is not
copyrighted. As for YouTube, when looking for music or
sound effects we needed to ensure the uploader has stated that the sound file
is royalty therefore allowing us to use it.
Why could you not use copyright music? We could not use copyright music in our film opening due to the copyright law. If we were to use a piece of copyright music without the permission of the owner then we as a group would be going against something called 'copyright infringement'. This could lead to big fines for the 'infringer'. To avoid this you would have to ask the owner themselves for permission to use the music/sound clip.
